La Steff is a sonic process — part synth, part drums, part instinct. Rooted in raw minimalism, shaped by spontaneity. Clicks & Cuts, Dark Ambient, Drone, E-Trash, Dada.
I work at the intersection of sound art, so-called „experimental music“, and narrative audio. While I describe my practice as process-driven, I treat sound as material rather than product — rough, reduced, and continuously evolving. Moving between dark ambient, drone, and fragmented sonic textures, I construct sonic statements rather than linear compositions.
My approach combines intuition, reduction, and interdisciplinary thinking across art and media.
Alongside my solo work as La Steff, I collaborate with other artists. Schuld & Scham is a collaborative project with polypixa – artist, composer, photographer, painter. It emerges spontaneously: from sound fragments we develop intuitively back to back, then assemble and mélange between Berlin and Cologne. The first piece „chuchuu“ had its radio premiere in April 2026 on byte.fm. More to follow.
